10 Events This Fall In Orange County

When the typical Starbucks order becomes a pumpkin spice latte and the weather feels indecisive, you know the Fall season has arrived in Orange County. This also means possible plans to visit Halloween themed Disneyland or Knott’s Scary Farm. Besides these obvious options, in no particular order, here are 10 Events you don’t want to miss this Fall in Orange County.

 1. The Pacific Airshow  

From Oct. 4th-6th, you can attend the Pacific Airshow in Huntington Beach. This 3-day event was ranked second out of 10 other airshows by USA Today. Watch display teams zoom by in their aircrafts and enjoy other entertainment on the shore. You can either purchase a 3-day or 1-day pass.

2.  Newport Beach Film Festival


The 25th Newport Beach Film Festival is coming Oct. 17-24. Tickets go on sale Sept. 17 for the opportunity to view a variety of contemporary films.

3.  Silverado County Fair & Folk Festival


Just off Silverado Canyon Road is a Wild West experience from Oct. 12-13. The Silverado County Fair & Folk Festival offers local art, clothing and jewelry for sale. The event will include live music from local performers in folk, rock, bluegrass, and other genres. Attendees are encouraged to dress up in period garb for the chance to win a prize and to participate in other fun activities.

4. Irvine Global Village Festival

Come celebrate Irvine’s diverse community on Oct. 5 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Taking place at the Great Park, the Irvine Global Village Festival presents multicultural performances, food, art and other activities for guests of all ages to enjoy.

5. Oktoberfest

Huntington Beach’s restaurant and bar The Biergarten has been hosting Oktoberfest since 1977 and this year is no different. Sip on German imported beers and witness other festivities from Sept. 8- Nov. 3. Ticket prices vary. They are sold both online and at the door. If you visit The Biergarten on Thursdays and Wednesdays, admission is free.

6. Pumpkin City


Pumpkin City’s Pumpkin Patch returns this October in Laguna Hills. Play games, go on rides or just simply admire the pumpkins. The patch will be open Monday-Thursday from 11:00 a.m.-8:30 p.m. On Fridays and weekends, the patch will be open from 10:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m.

7. Dia de los Muertos Celebration at Anaheim Cemetery


Anaheim Cemetery welcomes you to a Día de los Muertos celebration on Nov. 2. Folklorico dancing and mariachi performances will be featured. Small marigold bouquets will be provided to guests to decorate grave sites or ofrendas, while supplies last. Kids can get their faces painted and create crafts. The time of this event has yet to be determined.

8. Tanaka Farms Fall Harvest Festival


Starting Sept. 14, you can register for Tanaka Farms’ Fall Harvest Festival. This weekend celebration includes a plethora of activities like wagon rides, a corn maze and even a pumpkin cannon!

9. Orange County Auto Show


Car fanatics can attend the Orange County Auto Show to appreciate impressive vehicles and take test drives of those they admire most. This auto show is located at the Anaheim Convention Center from Oct. 3-6. Ticket prices vary with the most expensive ticket only being $15. Children 12 and under enter free. Parking is $20 and cashless

10. Santa Ana Boo at the Zoo

Santa Ana Zoo presents Boo at the Zoo on Oct. 19, 20, 26 and 27 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. For some early Halloween fun, observe nocturnal animal presentations, trick-or-treating, go on rides and more. Ticket information will be updated closer to the event dates.
