Orange County Restaurant Week is here March 05th-11th.  An everchanging and evolving food scene, Orange County has some of the best restaurants in all of California.  The Michelin Guide has even given a nod to 32 OC restaurants with 3 Michelin stars in the area.  New, innovative and inventive restaurants are popping up all over Orange County much to the delight of visitors and locals alike.

OC Restaurant week invites you to celebrate the culinary scene in a way only it can; offering special prix fixe menus at a discounted price. It’s a great opportunity for foodies to explore new restaurants, try new dishes, and experience the diversity of flavors that Orange County has to offer.  Prix fixe menus for lunch and dinner, range in price from $15 to $80 per person.

The event wouldn’t be possible without the help of the Orange County Restaurant Association. The association works closely with participating restaurants to create unique menus that showcase the best of Orange County’s cuisine. The goal of the event is to promote the culinary diversity of the region and to encourage locals and visitors to try new restaurants.

 

 There are restaurants to suit every taste and budget. From upscale fine dining establishments to casual eateries, making sure there is something for everyone.  Mexican, Italian, Japanese, American, fusion cuisine, among others are highlighted for one week only driving both patrons and visitors to OC restaurants. Spots for the anticipated week fill up quickly so make your reservations in advance. PLAN AHEAD

Before Restaurant Week starts, take some time to research the participating restaurants and their menus. Decide which restaurants you want to try and make reservations in advance. This will help you avoid waiting in long lines or being turned away from fully booked restaurants. Here is the full list of participating restaurants.

TRY SOMETHING NEW

Restaurant Week is the perfect opportunity to try a new type of cuisine or a restaurant that you’ve never been to before. Step outside of your comfort zone and explore something different. You may discover a new favorite dish or restaurant that you wouldn’t have tried otherwise.

BRING A FRIEND OR THE WHOLE FAMILY

Invite a friend or family member to join you for Restaurant Week. Not only will you have someone to share the experience with, but you can also split the cost of the prix fixe menu. This will allow you to try more dishes and get a better sense of the restaurant’s overall menu.

ATTEND A SPECIAL EVENT

Some restaurants may offer special events during Restaurant Week, such as wine tastings, live music or chef meet-and-greets. These events can add an extra level of fun and excitement to your dining experience. Check the Restaurant Week website or the individual restaurant’s website to see if they have any special events planned.

DON’T MISS LUNCH

Many people focus on dinner during Restaurant Week, but lunch can be just as fun and more affordable. Restaurants often offer the same prix fixe menu for lunch at a lower price point, which can be a great way to sample their cuisine without breaking the bank.
