Proactive 2023- Jumpstart to a healthier New Year
In my 12 years of experience as a personal trainer, and over 20,000 sessions serviced, I have been fortunate to see people of all ages, abilities, ethnicities and body types better their lives through exercise. Strengthening bones and muscles, reducing risk of disease, helping manage weight, and improving brain health are just a few benefits of regular physical activity. However, one of the most challenging hurdles to overcome in a fitness journey can often simply be getting started. Total Duration: Approximately 20 minutes
Per Exercise: 40 seconds followed by 20 seconds of rest. Rest 1 minute and repeat the set.
Version 1 (Intensity Level: Vigorous)
1. Squat Jumps
2. 10 Shoulder Taps and 5 sprawls
3. High Knees
4. Russian Twists
5. Ice Skaters
6. Push-up Forward Reaches
7. Drop Squats
8. Alternating Reverse Lunges
Version 2 * (Intensity Level: Moderate)
2. Shoulder Taps (on Knees)
4. Russian Twists (with Heels on Floor)
5. Side Steps
6. Push-up Forward Reaches (on Knees)
7. Jumping Jacks
8. Alternating Step Backs
9. Mini Walkouts (on Knees)
