Want to make your mother feel special this Mother’s Day? Or maybe you’re a mother yourself looking for a great way to celebrate the day? Here are some Mother’s Day weekend options in Orange County.
Pinot’s Palette in Huntington Beach is having a Family Day on May 11. Moms and their little ones ages 7+ can learn how to paint a Mommy and Me Hippo together. The class takes place from 12-2 p.m. and is $29 per guest. Missed Family Day, no worries! If you decide to take some time for yourself this Mother’s Day, take a class at Pinot’s Palette on May 12. From 5-7:30 p.m., learn how to
paint Spring Flowers for $42 per guest.

For an interactive experience, mothers and children can attend Pretend City’s Mother’s Day event on May 11 from 12-2 p.m. According to the Pretend City website, children’s book author Vilayvanh Bender will be leading attendees “through a series of activities including, learning to count in Laos, music and movement, tasting fried grasshoppers and more!” Tickets will be sold at the door. If you’re looking for more of an adventure this May 12, hop on a Mother’s Day Cruise for a whale and dolphin watching tour. For two hours, attendees will journey from Dana Point up the coast to Laguna Beach. The Dana Wharf website states “MOMosas, Champagne, fresh seasonal fruit, juices, pastries and muffins will be served. In addition, all whale watching cruises on Mother’s Day will serve Moms a complimentary glass of
